SB262 passed the 2nd reading in the house by a vote of 53-47.  Here are details of the days events in a nutshell,

HOUSE RULES COMMITTEE UPHOLDS SPEAKER KNUDSEN’S RULING THAT SB262 REQUIRES 2/3 VOTE OF BOTH HOUSES

This morning, the house rules committee upheld Speaker Knutson’s ruling requiring a 2/3 vote of both houses for SB262, ratification of the water compact.

HOUSE RULES COMMITTEE DECISION OVERRULED BY A SIMPLE MAJORITY ON THE HOUSE FLOOR 

The rule committee action was reported out to the house floor this afternoon as of normal protocol and procedure.  As was expected, 41 democrats with the help of 11 republicans appealed the ruling and voted to overrule the committee ruling with a vote of 52-48.

Senate Finance and Claims Committee Tables CSKT Compact SB262

And how is this lack of transparency okay? Amazing, and disgusting.

In an interesting turn of events, the CSKT water compact bill SB 262 was tabled in the Senate Finance and Claims Committee this morning.

After struggling to answer questions about the money portion of the bill and unsatisfactorily answering questions about the binding effect on future legislators that the financing represents, Senator Vincent left the hearing expecting executive action to sail through without any glitches.  During the executive action, Senator Janna Taylor offered two amendments related to transparency in accounting for compact related funds:

  1. The first amendment requires DNRC to report to the legislature on compact implementation expenditures of $8 million. The amendment passed 14-5.
  2. The second amendment request an audit of the $55 million expenditure in totality. That amendment passed 10-9.

Been dealing with health issues which, aside from other commitments, lessens my posting.  Seems to me there are a few ‘epidemic’ deficiency issues going on out there.  The most insidious may be B12.  Please check this out if you have been fatigued.  http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/b12

Additionally, hypothyroid, which goes undiagnosed for years at a stretch for most, is rampant.  D3 is another deficiency becoming common.
